Aborigine Rainbow Serpents

Check out our artwork inspired by the tribal art of Australia! We are trying to create unique patterns that despite the repetition are not boring. If variety is the spice of life, then we are trying to make spicy patterns!

Clay Heart Pockets

Third graders at BGS recently built upon their knowledge and use of clay with this heartfelt project to give to mom as a token of their love and appreciation for all she does! In the fall we had worked with clay slabs, impressing texture, and cutting shapes. Now we've taken all this one step further - attaching two slabs together to form the pocket. Students learned you must "score" the clay - or as we say to remember - "scratch to attach"! None of the hearts lost their pockets in the drying process so the studentsust have learned the importance of this concept! Enjoy!!!
